Baseball Training Program for 11-14 Year Olds


Our suggested training program follows the year-round guideline specified in  figure 1. Please note that our program should be regarded only as a guideline. You should attempt to adapt it according to your specific conditions, facilities, and athletes’ potential. Therefore, the program might be adequate for some, and possibly very challenging for others. Similarly, based on your training equipment, you may decide to change some exercises. However, the new exercise must focus on the same muscle groups since the selected exercises are as sport-specific as realistically possible.

Please also observe that in the early AA training phase we are trying to activate as many muscle groups as possible. This is represents a great benefit for an overall physical development, good balance between muscle groups and limbs, and a good adaptation of the muscle groups involved in the program.

Finally, please  note that for a better adaptation, especially for the lower age groups, the early part of the program suggests that same training be done for two weeks consecutively. This is specifically advantageous for those who do have a very good background in physical training, or had a very long transition before restarting organized training.
